Meet Rock Hill Chiropractor Dr. Mark G. Kimble

Rock Hill, South Carolina chiropractor, Dr. Mark G. Kimble

“I was born into a family with a deeply-rooted history in chiropractic. I’m the third generation son of a chiropractor from a family of 17 chiropractors! I was always impressed seeing my father and uncle running very successful practices with many patients coming and going as I sat as a young teenager at the end of their hallways, watching in awe the people they helped.

“No, I wasn’t pressured to go into this profession from my parents. I made my own decision. Thought of becoming a professional pilot until one day I sent down to the office for an emergency call one Saturday with my father to treat a patient with a serious disc problem. Due to the pain, he couldn’t walk. After the chiropractic adjustment, he walked out of the office! He said, ‘If it weren’t for your father and chiropractic I’d be in a wheelchair right now.’ I saw this happen many times over the years and decided I wanted to help people in the same way.

“I received my undergraduate degree while attending Winthrop University, Gardner Webb University, University of South Carolina and University of Houston. Then, I enrolled in Texas Chiropractic College in Pasadena, Texas. I’m proud to serve our community by helping sick people get well.

“The most satisfying part of practice is helping people who have been told they would require surgery. We regularly help people avoid surgery for their lower back, neck, carpal tunnel syndromes and other joints of the body.

“The greatest joy of all is hearing patients say, ‘Doc, I’m out of pain,’ or ‘Thanks to you, I don’t have to have the surgery!’

“I’m proud to serve as a third generation chiropractor.”

Dr. Kimble Asks some important questions of interest to Rock Hill residents - Chiropractor Rock Hill Dr. Kimble Asks...

Will chiropractic adjustments make my spine too loose?
No. Only the spinal joints that are fixated and "locked up" receive attention. The occasional spinal joint that moves too much is passed over so weakened muscles and ligaments can strengthen and heal.
Do nerves actually get pinched?
Chiropractors recognize two types of nerve disorders involved in subluxation. The least common is a pinched nerve that diminishes nerve supply to an affected organ or tissue. More common is the irritated nerve (facilitative lesion) which overexcites nerve communications to an affected organ or tissue. Chiropractic care has been shown to help with both types.
