Meet Rock Hill Chiropractor Dr. Donald G. Kimble

Rock Hill, South Carolina chiropractor, Dr. Donald Kimble

“I was born in a small town in West Virginia on the Ohio River. My dream was to be a riverboat captain or a diesel engineer. After a serious high school football neck injury that did not respond to various medical treatments and was told nothing could be done to help me, my father took me to the local chiropractor and getting such good results prompted me to become a chiropractor.

“I wanted to do something exciting with my life, but after having such a great experience from chiropractic, which saved my life, I changed my mind to become a chiropractor,” says Dr. Kimble. At the time of my sports injury, I had two uncles and an older brother that were chiropractors in Texas. I was totally impressed how they helped patients return to good health without drugs or surgery.”

Dr. Kimble began his chiropractic education with his pre-chiropractic requirements at San Antonio University in San Antonio, Texas. There, he studied pre-professional courses with an emphasis on the basics, such as inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry and biology along with the basic physiology and anatomy courses.

After completing his study there, he was accepted at the Texas Chiropractic College in Pasadena, Texas. His four years of studies there in anatomy and human physiology, X-ray, diagnosis and chiropractic adjusting techniques culminated in providing care at the Texas Chiropractic Public Clinic.

“Each year,” continues Dr. Kimble, “the staff and I attend various seminars to keep up with the latest research and newest developments in the chiropractic profession. That keeps our skills in top form.”

Dr. Donald Kimble is a Qualified Diplomate in Chiropractic Orthopedics.

Dr. Kimble Asks some important questions of interest to Rock Hill residents - Chiropractor Rock Hill Dr. Kimble Asks...

Will chiropractic adjustments make my spine too loose?
No. Only the spinal joints that are fixated and "locked up" receive attention. The occasional spinal joint that moves too much is passed over so weakened muscles and ligaments can strengthen and heal.
Do nerves actually get pinched?
Chiropractors recognize two types of nerve disorders involved in subluxation. The least common is a pinched nerve that diminishes nerve supply to an affected organ or tissue. More common is the irritated nerve (facilitative lesion) which overexcites nerve communications to an affected organ or tissue. Chiropractic care has been shown to help with both types.
